Q In your own words, identify and explain Kerber's thesis/purpose for writing the article. What was Kerber trying to prove or convince you of by writing this?
In the United States, the ancient laws of domestic relations and the coverture system have impacted marital patterns and limited women's participation in the constitutional community. Kerber’s purpose behind writing this article was to point out all these hollowness in the legal system of the United States. This legal system predates the Revolution, yet it is still practiced in the United States today (Kerber, 2012).
